4" The REC MODE function works in both CAMCORDER and PLAY(DV IN) modes.
4" This camcorder records and plays back in SP (standard play) mode and in LP (long play)
mode.
• SP (standard play): This mode permits 60 minutes of recording time with a DVM6Otape.
• LP (long play): This mode permits 90 minutes of recording time with a DVM6Otape.
1. Set the device to CAMCORDER and set the powerswitch to REC mode.
2. Press the MENU button.
• The menu list will appear.
3. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight CAMCORDER and press the MENU DIAL.
4. Select RECORD SET from the sub-menu and press the MENU DIAL.
5. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight REC MODE and press the MENU DIAL.
6. Select REC MODE from the sub-menu and press the MENU DIAL.
• The REC MODE toggles between SP and LP with each press.
7. To exit, press the MENU button.

• We recommend that you use thiscamcorder to play back any tapes recorded on this camcorder.
Playing back a tape recorded in other equipment may produce mosaic shaped distortion.
• When you record a tape in SP and LP modes, or LP mode only, the playback picture may be distorted or the time code
may not be written propedy between scenes.
• Record using SP mode for the best picture and sound quality.
