Addit iona l Length Det ect ion
Addit ional Length Det ection allows you to define the length of
docum ent being m ult i- fed. This value indicates the addit ional
length exceeding your scan area. The Display window will
show t he size of the docum ent as you change the value. A
value of 0 indicat es no addit ional length det ect ion. The
Addit ional Length Det ection is best used when scanning sam e-
size docum ent s in the auto docum ent feeder.
Ult ra sonic Detect ion
Ult rasonic Detect ion allows you to set overlapped docum ent by
det ect ing paper t hickness bet ween docum ent s. Not e： The
availability of the funct ion varies based on type of scanner.
St op Scanning a fter Mult i- Feed
- I f this is not select ed, t he scanner will continue scanning
the rest docum ent t hough m ult i- feed is detect ed. Aft er t he
entire docum ent has been scanned, a m ult i-feed dialog box
will be prom pt ed to indicat e t he page num ber w hich has
been det ect ed mult i- feed and need to be rescanned.
- I f this is select ed, t he following opt ions will be displayed.
St op: I f this is select ed, t he scanner will st op scanning after a
m ult i- feed is det ect ed. No furt her dialog box will be prom pt ed.
Ask : I f t his is select ed, t he im age of the page which has been
det ect ed m ulti- feed will be displayed and t hree opt ions are
provided.
Continue Sca n: I f the im age of the m ult i- feed
page is accept able, select

scanning t he rest pages.
