Setting Oven Controls
Setting the Food Categories Feature:
The MEATS _, CAKES _ and BREADS _ pads in the Food Categories feature is used when
cooking certain food items, These pads have been designed to give optimum cook performance for the foods selected in
each category,
The MEATS pad combines a cook cyclic with the convection fan and element to roast meats and pouitry, Preheating is not
necessary for meats and pouitry, Heated air circulates around the food from ali sides, sealing in juices and flavors, Foods
are crispy brown on the outside while staying moist on the inside,
The CAKES pad provides a preheat with a gentile cycling of heat giving cakes more volume and allowing delicate foods to
cook more eveniy,
The BREADS pad adds a preheat feature to the bake cycie to thoroughiy heat the oven from top to bottom to give more
eveniy browned foods, Refer to (Figure 4) for foods to cook in each category,
iNSTRUCTiONS
To set the Food Categories feature (example for
Meats to cook at 350°F}:
1, Arrange interior oven racks and piace food in oven,
2, Press _.LEAr_. "MEATS" wili flash and "---°" wili be dispiayed
(See Figure 1),
Press _-3-'_ C5-'_ CO-"_, "MEATS" wiil flash and "350°" wiil

appear in the dispiay (See Figure 2),
4, Press _, "MEATS" and "350 °'' wili appear in the dispiay
(See Figure 3), The convection fan icon wiii come,
STOP! to
Press _CLEAIBIstop cooking Meats, Cakes or Breads, or to cancei
cooking Meats, Cakes or Breads at any time,

Roasting instructions for Meat Pad:
When using the Meat pad for roasting, use the broiler pan and insert along with the
roasting rack, The broiler pan wili catch grease spilis and the insert wili heip prevent
grease spatters, The roasting rack wili allow the heat to cimulate around the meat,
To prevent food from contacting the broil element and to prevent grease
spattering, DO NOT use the roasting rack when broiling,
1, Piace oven rack on bottom or next to the bottom rack position, See Arranging
Oven Racks in this Use & Care Guide,
2, Piace the insert in the broiler pan, The roasting rack fits on the insert allowing the
heated air to circulate under the food for even cooking and heips to increase
browning on the underside, Make sure the roasting rack is secureiy seated on the
insert in the broiler pan, DO NOT use the broiler pan without the insert or cover the
insert with aluminum foil
3, Position food (fat side up) on the roasting rack (See Figure 5),
4, Piace the broiler pan on the oven rack,
