WARNING
Toprevent electricalshock and/or personalinjury, make
certainthat the oven and the lightbulb are cool and that
powerto the oven has been turned off at the main power
supply before replacingthe light bulb.
Always make surethe lenscover is inplacewhen usingthe
oven.The lens cover protectsthe lightbulb from breakage
caused by high oventemperatures or mechanicalshock.
Replacingthe lenscover without lining up the cut-outwith the
light socketwill damagethe light fixture.
Use the pry stick with caution. Do not cause uneven stress
on the lens cover.
Light bulb replacement is considered to be a homeowner
maintenance operation. If the light does not work, before
replacing it, please consult the Problem Solution Guide
on page 25.
To replace the light bulb:
1. Turn off power to the oven at the circuit breaker or
fuse box,
2. Hold your hand under the lens for support and pry it
loose. Pull the lens cover straight out. You may also
use the optional lens pry stick to help remove the lens
(see page 23 for ordering information). Gently insert
the pointed end of the pry stick under the center edge
of the lens cover and pry loose.
3. Using a glove, insert the new bulb into the socket.
Replace the light bulb only with Dacor Part No.
100429, available from any authorized Dacor parts
dealer,
IMPORTANT
Do not touch the replacement halogen light bulb with
your fingers. Halogen bulbs are sensitive to the oils
from your hand. The oils from your hand will stick to the
bulb and may cause it to burn out faster than normal.
4. When reinstalling the lens, line up the cutout on the
inside rim with the light socket. Gently press it into its
original position.

5. Turn the power to the oven back on at the main power
supply.
6. Reset the clock (see page 5).
