symptom problem test solution
Flames are very
aggressive.
Door is ajar.
- Ensure door is secured properly.
Venting action is too great. - Check to ensure venting is properly sealed or restrict vent exit with
restrictor plate (not available in all appliances).
Appliance won't
perform any
functions
No power to the system. - Check breaker to verify it is in the "on" position.
- Ensure module is wired to power correctly.
Receiver switch in wrong
position (if equipped).
- Verify that the 3-position switch on the receiver is in the
remote position (middle).
On/off switch in wrong posi-
tion.
- Verify that the switch is in the "on" position.
Transmitter isn't operational
(if required).
- Check battery power and battery orientation.
Light won't function
(if applicable).
Light bulb burnt out. - Change the bulb.
Light harness damaged. - Replace the harness.
Switch in wrong position. - Ensure switch is in "on" position.
No power to lights. - Ensure power transformer is plugged into junction box and
lights are wired correctly.
Blower won't
function (if appli-
cable).
Blower kit not wired correctly. - Ensure blower is wired correctly (see "optional blower
installation" section).
Variable speed switch in wrong
position.
- Turn switch away from "off" position.
Thermal disc not hot enough
to operate blower.
- Thermal disk must reach 32°C (90°F) before blower will
operate. Ensure swithc surface is tight to hot metal surface.
