DRUM CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT

Gently pull the TD cartridge out and place it on the scrap paper which was prepared
in step 1. To remove the TD cartridge, see page 28, step 3.

Using both hands grasp the tabs on the drum cartridge between your thumb and
index finger and gently pull the cartridge up and out in a circular motion to lift it clear
of the copier. Dispose of the old drum cartridge in accordance with local regulations.
The fusing unit beneath the drum cartridge is hot. Be careful not to touch the
fusing unit when removing the drum cartridge.

Remove the new drum cartridge from the plastic bag and set it down on a clean,
uncluttered and level surface being careful not to touch the drum surface.
The new drum cartridge is sealed with a sheet of black protective paper to
shield the drum from light. To prevent damage to the drum surface, do not
remove the protective paper until you have inserted the cartridge into the copier.

Using both hands grasp the tabs on the new drum cartridge between your thumb and
index finger, place the two projections on both ends of the cartridge along the guides,
and gently insert the cartridge in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Carefully remove the sheet of black protective paper from the drum cartridge, making
sure not to leave any torn pieces of paper in the copier.
