Upgrading the Firmware
Use the DJI GO 4 app or DJI Assistant 2 to update the rmware of the aircraft and remote controller.
Phantom 4 Pro/Pro+
Phantom 4 Pro/Pro+ does not support updating the aircraft and the remote controller simultaneously.
Please follow the update process below.
Updating the Aircraft Firmware
Method 1: Using DJI GO 4
1. Ensure both the aircraft and the remote controller are powered on and connected.
2. For the Phantom 4 Pro, connect the Micro USB port of the aircraft to the mobile device with the USB
OTG cable.
For Phantom 4 Pro+, connect the Micro USB port of the aircraft and the remote controller with the USB
OTG cable.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions in DJI GO 4 to update. Ensure the internet is available during
the update.
4. Restart the aircraft after the rmware update is complete.
Method 2: Using DJI Assistant 2
1. Power on the aircraft and connect it to a computer with a USB cable.
2. Launch DJI Assistant 2 and login with a DJI account.
3. Select your product icon and click “Firmware Update” on the left.
4. Select the required rmware version.
5. DJI Assistant 2 will download and update the rmware automatically.
6. Restart the aircraft after the rmware update is complete.
Updating the Remote Controller Firmware
Method 1: Using DJI GO 4
Connect the remote controller and DJI GO 4, where you will be reminded if a new firmware update
is available. To start updating, connect your mobile device to the internet and follow the on-screen
instructions.
Method 2: Using a microSD Card (only for the GL300E remote controller)
1. Visit the ofcial DJI website and go to the Phantom 4 Pro/Pro+ page to download the latest rm-
ware to a microSD card.
2. Insert the microSD card into the microSD card slot of the remote controller.
3. Power on the remote controller, enter System Settings > System Update, and click Local Update
on the top-right corner. The latest rmware will show on the microSD card. Click Update to start
updating.

When the aircraft and the remote controller are connected, you can update both of them simultaneously
through the following methods.
