Tailgate
General information
To avoid locking it in the vehicle, do not place
the remote control in the cargo area.
Depending on your vehicle's equipment and
the country version, it is possible to specify
whether the doors are also unlocked when un‐
locking with the remote control. Adjusting the
settings, refer to page 49.

Body parts can be jammed when operat‐
ing the tailgate. There is a risk of injury. Make
sure that the area of movement of the tailgate
is clear during opening and closing.◀

Opening
General information
When towing a trailer, the tailgate cannot be
opened with the remote control or with the
button in the driver's door.
Adjusting the opening height
You can set how far the tailgate should open.
When adjusting the opening height, ensure
that there is a clearance of at least 4 in/10 cm
above the tailgate.
