Breakdown set*
Storage
The breakdown kit is located behind the right hand cover of
the luggage compartment.
To remove the breakdown kit unscrew the wing nut, located on the
right, and turn the bracket to the left.
The breakdown set consists of:
• an electrical plug
• a tyre filler tube
• a tyre filler bottle with sealant
• a compressor
• a tyre pressure gauge (with bleed screw)
• a valve insert extractor and spare valve insert
• a speed limit sticker
• a manual with instructions for use
Note
• Always observe the instructions provided by the breakdown set manufac-
turer.
• In vehicles fitted with a towing bracket, it is first necessary to remove the
tools in order to reach the breakdown kit.
Sealing and inflating tyres
The breakdown set enables you to seal and inflate a defective
tyre.
Small punctures (up to 4 mm in diameter), particularly ones in the
tread, can be sealed using the breakdown set.
Sealing a tyre
– Take the "máx. 80 km/h (50 mph)” sticker out of the breakdown
set and attach it to the dash panel where it can be seen clearly by
the driver.
– Leave the foreign body (e. g. screw, nail) in the tyre.
– Remove the valve cap from the tyre valve and screw the valve
insert out using the appropriate tool and place the insert on a
clean surface.
– Fill the entire contents of the tyre filler bottle with sealant into the
tyre. Please follow the instructions in the enclosed manual.
