10.2 General tips
• Several foods can be cooked simultaneously to save energy, e.g. rice or
pulses together with vegetables with similar cooking times.
• With the appropriate amount of liquid, grains, e.g. rice or millet, and pulses,
e.g. lentils, cook directly in suitable tableware.
• Put the tableware directly on the perforated cooking tray or wire shelf.
10.3 Saving energy
The operating mode consumes less energy than the operating mode.
► Avoid opening the appliance door frequently.
► Only switch the illumination on when needed.
► For gratins, use the residual heat: after a duration of 30minutes, turn the
appliance off 5–10minutes before end of cooking or baking.
► Minimise preheating.
► Only preheat the cooking space if the cooking or baking results depend on
it.
To reduce power consumption to a minimum, select «Hide time» in
the user settings. Despite automatic energy-saving stand-by, all safety
features are active.
