6 Using the appliance
You can adjust the appliance switch-off time
individually (see page 58).
As long as the temperature is above 80°C, the display shows the re-
sidual heat symbol .
Food can be kept warm with residual heat during this time.
As soon as the temperature falls below 80°C, all the displays go out.
The cooling fan may continue to run.
For appliances without handles, the displays and touch buttons do not
go out until the handle can be retracted. The residual heat symbol
is displayed for the entire duration, even if the residual heat falls below
80°C.
For all operating modes that use steam, steam reduction can take place at the
end of the cooking process. The steam is gradually released from the cooking
space into the atmosphere – this takes about 1minute. This means that there
is no sudden rush of steam when the appliance door is opened; it can, how-
ever, be opened at any time.
Removing food from cooking space
Risk of scalding!
Hot steam or hot air may escape from the cooking space when the
appliance door is opened.
The accessories get hot. Use protective gloves or oven cloths.
Take the food out of the cooking space when done.
Any condensate or food particles in the cooking space must be completely
removed after each cooking session with steam.
After a while, the water system for the appliance is rinsed. «Gerät spült» ap-
pears in the display.
A full steam reduction allows condensate and any food particles to be
collected more easily at the water outlet.
A new operating mode can be started at any time during the rinsing
processes.
Clean the filter.
Wipe away traces of water and dirt with a soft cloth to prevent corrosion
and unpleasant odours.
