Folding the rear seat backrest back

NOTE Damage to the seat belt
The seat belt could become trapped and thus
damaged when folding back the seat back‐
rest.

Make sure that the seat belt is not trap‐
ped when folding back the seat back‐
rest.
#
Move the driver's or front passenger seat for‐
wards, if necessary.
#
Fold corresponding seat backrest 1 back
until it engages.
If the seat backrest is not engaged and
locked, this will be shown on the multifunc‐
tion display on the instrument cluster.

Tie-down eyes
Vehicles with a wind screen: there is an addi‐
tional tie-down eye behind the rear bench seat
backrests. To access this, the seat backrests
must be folded down (→ page 105).
