… if the appearance of the burner
caps becomes unsightly.
Normal consequence of use. Clean burner cap with metal polish
specifically suitable for aluminium.
… if the enamel grid becomes rough
where it is close to the burner.
… if after the appliance has been
installed the burner flames are not
uniform.
Normal consequence of high tempe-
ratures.
Not possible. Does not effect appli-
ance performance.
Uneven flame caused by incorrect
gas setting.
Arrange for appliance to be inspec-
ted by dealer or installer.
… if the shape of the burner flames
changes suddenly.
Burner parts positioned incorrectly. Fit loose burner parts correctly.
… if the electric igniter for the hob
burners no longer works.
Traces of food or cleaning material
between ignition electrode and bur-
ner.
Carefully clean gap between ignition
electrode and burner.
… if all of a sudden it becomes
necessary to keep the burner control
knob pressed for a longer period in
order to ignite the flame.
… if after the flame has been ignited
it extinguishes again.
… if the size of the flames is larger
than normal or you can smell gas.
Burner parts positioned incorrectly.
Knob not pressed for long enough.
Carefully bend sensor back into ver-
tical position.
