Use Guide

Initial Setup

1. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the scale and insert 3 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity.
2. Place the Scale: Position the scale on a hard, flat, and level surface (e.g., tile, hardwood). Avoid carpets or uneven floors.
3. Power On: Step onto the scale to activate it. The display will light up and show "0.0" or similar.

Taking a Basic Weight Measurement

1. Ensure the scale is on a flat surface.
2. Step onto the scale barefoot, ensuring your feet are clean, dry, and in contact with the metal electrodes.
3. Stand still until your weight stabilizes and is displayed.
4. The scale will then cycle through additional measurements like heart rate and body balance, which are shown directly on the display.
5. Step off. The scale will turn off automatically.

Using the INSMART Health App

1. Download the App: Search for "INSMART Health" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and install it.
2. Enable Bluetooth: Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
3. Create an Account & Profile: Open the app, create an account, and set up your user profile (height, age, gender, activity level). Accurate profile data is essential for correct body composition calculations.
4. Pair the Scale: Follow the in-app instructions to pair your scale via Bluetooth. The scale should appear in the device list.
5. Take a Measurement with App Sync: With the app open, step onto the scale. Your measurement data will be sent to the app and displayed in detail.
6. View History and Trends: Use the app to view historical data, charts, and track progress over time.
7. Add Users: Other household members can create their own profiles within the same app. The scale will recognize different users based on their weight.

Understanding the Display

The scale's screen shows information in sequence after you step on:

• Weight: Displayed in your selected unit (kg, lb, st).
• Heart Icon/Heart Rate: Indicates pulse rate measurement.
• Heart Index: A derived metric related to cardiovascular state.
• Body Balance Symbol/Rate: Indicates weight distribution between left and right sides.

For the full 18 metrics (like BMI, body fat %, muscle mass, visceral fat, etc.), you must view the data within the paired INSMART Health app.

Care and Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the glass platform with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the scale in water.
• Battery Replacement: Replace the 3 AAA batteries when the low battery icon appears on the display or the scale becomes unresponsive.
• Storage: Store in a dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity.
• Accuracy Check: For consistent results, always use the scale on the same hard, flat surface. Calibration is automatic upon activation.
