Overview

Setup and Installation

1. Initial Setup

1. Remove the scale from its packaging.
2. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
3. Insert 3 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment.

The scale will turn on. The display may show "0.0" or flash briefly.

2. Placing the Scale

If the scale is moved or flipped over after initial placement, it must recalibrate. Step on the scale to activate it, then step off. Wait for it to display "0.0" before taking a measurement.

3. Installing the Smartphone App

1. On your smartphone, open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Search for and download the "INSMART Health" app.
3. Open the app and create a user account or log in.
4. Follow the in-app instructions to set up your personal profile (gender, height, age, weight goal). Accurate profile information is required for correct body composition calculations.

Use Guide

Taking a Basic Weight Measurement

1. Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat surface and shows "0.0".
2. Step onto the scale barefoot. Stand still.
3. Your weight will be displayed on the LED screen.
4. Step off. The scale will turn off automatically after a few seconds.

Taking a Full Body Composition Measurement

1. Ensure your feet are bare, clean, and dry.
2. Open the INSMART Health app on your smartphone.
3. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. For Android 6.0+, you must also enable Location Services for Bluetooth to function correctly with the app.
4. In the app, select your profile and tap the blue "Measure" button.
5. Step onto the scale barefoot. Ensure your feet are in contact with all four metal electrodes.
6. Stand still for approximately 10 seconds. Do not move.
7. The scale's display will cycle through several measurements (e.g., weight, then body fat %).
8. Once the measurement is complete, the detailed results for all 17 metrics will appear in the app on your phone.

Using the INSMART Health App

• Viewing Data: The app displays all 17 body metrics from your latest measurement.
• Tracking Trends: The app automatically generates charts and graphs to show your progress over time for each metric.
• Multiple Users: Each family member can create their own profile in the app. The scale will automatically recognize different users based on their weight and sync data to the correct profile.

Troubleshooting

Care and Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the glass platform with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge the scale in water.
• Storage: Store in a dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures or humidity.
• Batteries: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears. Remove batteries if the scale will not be used for an extended period.
• Handling: Avoid dropping the scale or placing heavy objects on it.

Safety and Warnings

• The scale uses a very low, safe electrical signal for body composition analysis. However, it is not recommended for use by individuals with implanted electronic medical devices (such as pacemakers or defibrillators) without prior consultation with a physician.
