Machine actions Causes Solutions
There is a lot of ground co ee
under the brew group.
Co ee is not suitable for automatic
machines.
It may be necessary to change the type of
co ee or the co ee grinder settings.
The machine grinds co ee beans
but no co ee comes out.

There is no water. Fill the water tank and prime the circuit
(see the "Using the Machine for the First
Time" chapter).
The brew group is dirty. Clean the brew group (see the "Weekly
Cleaning of the Brew Group" chapter).
This might occur when the machine is
automatically adjusting the dose.
Brew some cups of co ee as described in
the “Saeco Adapting System” chapter.
The circuit is not primed. Prime the circuit (see the "Using the
Machine for the First Time" chapter).
The co ee dispensing spout is dirty. Clean the co ee dispensing spout.
Co ee is too weak.

The selector switch is blocked. Some co ee beans may have got stuck. Move the selector switch back and forth
until the co ee beans are released.
The co ee bean hopper cannot
be inserted.
The blade under the co ee bean hop-
per has been shifted.
Slide the blade up to the end of the guide
until the hole is covered.
There might still be some co ee beans
in the co ee compartment.
Remove co ee beans.
The selector switch is not in the correct
position.
Shift the selector switch to the open
