VacuumSealingandFoodSafety
1. Any perishable food that requires refrigeration must still be refrigerated or frozen after vacuum
sealing. Finish the food after you unfreeze or reheat it.
2. When you open a vacuum-sealed bag, you may vacuum seal it again if needed.
3. To thaw frozen food, it is best to plan ahead and thaw in the refrigerator where it will remain at
a safe, constant temperature.
4. For preserved food with spices or sources, do not put it on the shelf at room temperature.
There are certain types of bacteria that prefer low oxygen environments and will grow on food
that have been vacuum sealed.
5. For quick freezing, keep the bag spread out evenly into refrigerator or freezer.
Forbestresults,pleasefollowthetipsbelow:
1. Properly clean the food before vacuum sealing.
2. For any perishable food, put it into refrigerator or freezer immediately after vacuum sealing.
3. You may vacuum seal some dry food, such as nuts, peas, grains, and more. The shelf lives
extend signicantly. However, if you put the vacuum-sealing pack in a dark place at room
temperature instead of placing the pack into refrigerator or freezer, some food (eg. peas)
were allowed to germinate.
4. All vegetables, including broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, naturally emit gases during storage.
Please freeze and pack vegetables before vacuum sealing.
