User Manual Bissell 1831 Vacuum Cleaners

I have 3 big dogs and it is much easier to clear the hose with a broom handle than most vacuums. I have had to take it apart under the vacuum a few times to clean the bristles and un-clog the base of the hose by the bristles. Thankfully all the screws are the same type so it's easy to do. To clear the base of the hose under the vacuum i just pushed the screwdriver through and it cleared it, I've only had to clear the bottom hose twice in the two years I've had it.

Extremely easy. Connects back to vacuum with no problems.

The roller itself can be removed without tools, but in order to access the roller you must remove 7 screws on the brush cover.
