5. To connect the cable to the vehicle, push
the cable’s charge connector until it clicks
to the charge lid.
u The charge indicator on the charge lid
stays on.
■ When charging is completed
Press the release button on the charge
connector to release it from the inlet.
The charge indicator goes off once charging is
completed.

1Charge the High Voltage battery using a Level 1 or 2 charger
When you plug in or unplug the charge connector
into or from the inlet, the navigation system comes
on, performs a system checkup, and goes into
standby mode. It automatically shuts off after a
while. If you want to operate the system while it is in
standby mode, set the power mode to ACCESSORY
or ON.
The charge speed slows down towards the
completion of the battery charging.
1How to Charge (Level 2)
The charge lid can be opened by smart entry remote.
Under the following circumstances, the High Voltage
battery may not be charged even if the charge
connector is properly connected to the vehicle’s inlet:
• When the charging timer is set but the timer has
not yet started.
• When the High Voltage battery’s charge mode has
been remotely turned off.
Be sure to follow the instructions and safety
precautions provided with the Level 2 charging
equipment.
