also prevent tainting of flavours.
For better results ensure that the food is stored as follows:
Dairy products are better stored in the inner door trays.
Fruits and vegetables: in the specific draw packaged in small poliethene bags, previously
pierced for better condition.
Warning: All tinned food must be kept in plastic containers once they have been opened.
Ensure that the cold air can flow freely around the stored food by leaving gaps between
the packages.
Cooked foods can only be refrigerated once they have cooled down.
Drinks and liquids must be kept in sealed containers.
EXPLANATION OF THE SYMBOLS
Refrigerator
The refrigerator low temperature compartment can store frozen foods for short periods of
about 1 week.
Refrigerator
The refrigerator low temperature compartment can store forzen foods for medium periods
of about 1 month.
Refrigerator
The refrigerator low temperature compartment can store frozen foods for long periods of
about 3 months and is suitable for the storage of ice-cream and similar products.
Fridge Freezers
The symbol means that frozen foods can be preserved for longer periods and that
fresh foods can be frozen.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL (see fig. 2-2a)
The internal temperature of the appliance can be affected by the ambient temperature,
loading and the number of times that the doors are opened on the appliance. When the
thermostat setting is changed the refrigerator may not start up immediately due to the
sudden change, however the new setting will be effective.
Temperature regulation is done using the thermostat knob which is found outside the
refrigerator.
The temperature inside the appliance is controlled by the thermostat and the appliance will
not operate if the thermostat control is set at 0, nor will the green operational light come on.
The on/off position is denoted by the symbol O/l. To lower the temperature turn the ther-
mostat control clockwise. We recommend that the thermostat control is set in the minddle
position, if the refrigerator door is opened frequently or a large quantity of food placed
inside the fridge.
For an ideal conservation temperature it is recommended that the thermostat knob be set
at around 3.
THE BENEFITS OF COOLING WITH A NO FROST FREEZER COMPARTMENT
The most important benefit of the forced air system is the total absence of frost and ice
build up on the walls of the freezer compartment.
