Trouble/Error Code 05
Error code 05 means that the wall detecting sensors around the bumper are blocked
or are dirty.
What to do:
Start by a visual check of the transparent windows on the front bumper. If they are
too dirty for you to see what is behind them, wipe bObsweep’s bumper with a clean,
damp cloth. Ensure nothing is jammed under the front bumper; tap slowly and cau-
tiously on the bumper and use compressed air to take out the debris. If the issue
persists, try running a checkup test on Bob.
If the test shows that the sensors are not working as they should, contact our sup-
port team to arrange a repair session for Bob.
Trouble/Error Code 06
Error code 06 points to Bob’s touch sensors. It is likely that a small piece of debris
is stuck under the bumper.
What to do:
Check the front bumper; slowly tap on it to take the obstacle out; Use compressed
air to take out dust and debris. If the issue persists, try running a checkup test on
Bob. While in the test mode, press the corner ends of the bumper until you hear/
feel a tiny “click” sound. If the bumper is not clicking on the ends, it is possible that
one or more of Bob’s touch sensors has a broken arm and the sensors need to be
changed.
Changing Bob’s front bumper, or parts of the bumper, is an easy task that can
be done at home. You will need a new bumper and a Philips head screwdriver,
and of course we have a video that will walk you through the steps:
