A message appears in the display at the end of the program or
when the appliance is switched on
Message Possible cause and solution
Align the washing
machine
The smoothing process which the laundry undergoes
at the end of the program could not be carried out
properly.
Check whether the washing machine is aligned
correctly as described in “Installation and connec-
tion – Leveling the machine”.
Check whether the maximum delivery height of
39“ (1m) has been exceeded.
If the fault message appears again, contact the Ser-
vice department. The washing machine can still be
used but with reduced functionality.
Check dosage
Excessive foam has built up during washing.
Use less detergent next time and follow the manu-
facturer's instructions on dosage given on the
packaging.
Sanitize info: Run a
high temp. program
or the "Clean Ma-
chine" program
A wash program using a temperature above 140°F
(60°C), example Normal/Hot+, has not been run for a
long period of time.
Turn the program selector to More programs/.
Touch the sensor buttons until Mainentance
appears in the display.
Touch the OK sensor button to confirm.
The following appears in the display: Clean Machine
Touch the OK sensor button to confirm.
Run the Clean Machine program using the Miele
clean machine or a universal powder detergent.
The washing machine is cleaned which prevents bac-
teria and odor buildup.
The message which appears at the end of the program or when the washing ma-
chine is switched on must be confirmed with the OK sensor button.
