DOS ASSIST
With the (5) DOS ASSIST function, the washing machine will recommend
the optimum amount of powder or liquid detergent according to the
selected settings. Recommended amount of powder or liquid detergent
depends on:
• Water hardness (the following settings are available: soft, medium,
hard. Default setting is the medium level, but the user may
adjust it. See chapter »INTERRUPTIONS AND CHANGING THE
PROGRAMME/Personal settings menu).« For correct functioning of
the (5) DOS ASSIST function, we recommend setting the correct
water hardness level.
• Selected washing programme and
• Amount of laundry (load) – the washing machine measures the
amount of laundry each time the (5) DOS ASSIST function is used.

In order for the (5) DOS ASSIST feature to function correctly, the STEP 2
(preparing the laundry, switching on, and loading the washing machine)
and STEP 3 (selecting the washing programme) have to be carried out
first.
1. Activate the function by pressing on position (5) DOS ASSIST. An
indicator light will light up under the sign (5) DOS ASSIST when it is
activated.
2. Press the (3) START/PAUSE button. The washing machine will start
measuring the amount of laundry in the drum.
