For basic calculations, see page 11.
When a listed fi nancial variable is displayed, you can enter
the result of a scientifi c calculation into it by pressing
Q
immediately after completing the calculation.
Scientifi c calculations can also be performed in STAT mode.
The examples in this chapter are all performed under the SET
UP menu’s default settings. Before starting calculation, press
s
to clear the display.

In constant calculations, the addend becomes a constant.
Subtraction and division behave the same way. For multiplica-
tion, the multiplicand becomes a constant.

Chain Calculations
A calculation result (ANS memory) can be used in a subse-
quent calculation. However, it cannot be recalled after entering
multiple instructions.
