Problem Possible cause and solution
Message in the display:
Intake fault, Boiler
Switch Off/On
There is a fault.
Press the button to switch the steam ironing
system off and then back on again.
After the cool-down phase, the appliance is carrying
out an additional rinse function and is attempting to
correct the fault itself. The cool-down phase may take
up to 3hours.
Remove the residual water container if you are
prompted to do so by the appropriate message in
the display.
Empty and dry the residual water container.
Push the residual water container back in the
tower until it clicks into place.
There is a fault.
If the fault message continues to be displayed,
contact Miele Service.
Message in the display:
Pressure switch fault.
Switch Off/On
There is a fault.
Press the button to switch the steam ironing
system off and then back on again.
If the fault continues to be displayed, contact
Miele Service.
Message in the display:
Boiler fault, warm Switch
Off/On
There is a fault.
Press the button to switch the steam ironing
system off and then back on again.
If the fault continues to be displayed, contact
Miele Service.
The steam generator is contaminated with water con-
taining too much lime scale or salt.
Start the descaling process (see "Starting the
descaling process early"). To avoid this problem in
the future, the preset water hardness level can be
set one level higher, e.g., from Level 4 to Level 5
(see "Water hardness setting").
If the fault continues to be displayed, contact
Miele Service.
