Organize your MP3/WMA files in different
folders or sub-folders as needed.
Helpful hints:
“Others” is shown as an album if you have not
organized your MP3/WMA files into any albums
on your disc.
Make sure that the file names of MP3 files end
with .mp3. and the file names of WMA files end
with .wma.
–For DRM protected WMA files, use Windows
Media Player 10 (or later) for CD burning/

10.1.2 Playing music from the USB
device
1 Check that the USB device is properly connected
to the Center or Station
(see 3.3.2 Installation: Connecting a USB mass
storage device )
2 Press SOURCE once or more times to select
USB
The screen shows “USB direct”
– No USB Device Present appears if the USB
device is not supported by the Center or
Station
– File system not supported appears if
unsupported file formats are used on the USB
device
Empty Folder appears if no audio file is found
on the USB device
3 Play audio files on the USB as you do with the
albums/tracks on a CD (see 7.CD).
Helpful hint:
Due to compatibility reasons, the album/track
information may differ from what will be
displayed through the flash player’s music
management software.
10.1.3 Transferring music to the USB
device
IMPORTANT!
– Recording is permitted only if there is
no infringement of copyrights or any
other rights of third parties.
– For CDs encoded with copyright
protection technologies used by some
record companies, recording will be
restricted.
The making of unauthorized copies of
copy-protected material, including
computer programmes, files, broadcasts
and sound recordings, may be an
infringement of copyrights and
constitute a criminal offence.This
equipment should not be used for such
purposes.
1 Check that the USB device is properly connected
to the Center.
2 On the Center, press SOURCE once or more
times to select HD (or press HD on the remote
control).
– If it is in HD playing mode, press STOP to
stop playing
3 Press the navigation controls 3 or 4 and 2 to
select your option and enter its corresponding
list of tracks (if necessary)
