Montreal Strip Steak
Montreal steak seasoning, available at the supermarket, gives
beef a deep, savory flavor. Once you’ve tried this recipe, feel free
to adjust the timing to get the doneness you prefer.
1. Rub both steaks all over with the olive oil and seasoning.
2. Place the steaks on the Food Mover™ cooking pan. Place
cooking pan halfway into the unit with the other half resting
on the entrance door.
3. Set the Food Mover™ to Broil on High for 8 minutes. (Note:
Broiling meat may cause excess fat to splatter. Small traces of
smoke or flame may be observed within the cooking cham
-
ber. This is normal and will quickly dissipate.)
4. The steaks will need to go through the unit twice to cook
both sides. Cook the first, then remove the cooking pan and
flip the steaks. Place cooking pan halfway inside the unit as
was done before. Set to Broil on High for 8 minutes and cook
on second side. (This timing should result in medium rare.)
Serve topped with herb butter.
