#1 Is the cord difficult to get used to?
Someone asked about the type of cord to use. If you get an extension cord, even though it might look thick and big, make sure that it is #14 AWG wire or larger. The amps for a #14 are 17. This mower needs 10 so that cord will carry it. The usual cord is #16 AWG. It is rated to carry only 8 amps -- too few for this mower. The oddity about wire is that the larger the number, the smaller the wire until you get up to really big wire. Another consideration is length of cord. At 100 feet, a #14 AWG, being fed by 120 volts will drop voltage to 113.6. This gives you sufficient voltage.
Getting used to the cord: The safest way is to work away from where your cord is plugged in. Go back and forth. If you go around in a circle or rectangle you have to constantly shift the cord to keep from going over it with the mower. A very dangerous thing to do. I have used electric mowers for many years and always work away from the power source, hold the cord by the hand on the mower handle that is on the same side as the power source, shifting to the other hand when I change directions-- that way I can always keep the cord away from the mower blades.
