Adjustment
1. Stop at a suitable location.
2. Screw the connection hose of the com-
pressor directly onto the tire valve stem.
3. Insert the connector into the power
socket in the vehicle interior.
4. Correct the tire inflation pressure to at
least 2.0 bar.
Increase tire inflation pressure: with
the ignition switched on or the en-
gine running, switch on the com-
pressor.
Reduce tire inflation pressure: press
the button on the compressor.
5. Unscrew the connection hose of the
compressor from the tire valve.
6. Pull the connector out of the power
socket in the vehicle interior.
7. Stow the Mobility System in the vehicle.
Continuing the trip
Do not exceed the maximum permissible
speed of 50 mph/80 km/h.
Reinitialize the Flat Tire Monitor, refer to
page 160.
Reset the Tire Pressure Monitor, refer to
page 155.
Replace the nonworking tire and the sealant
container of the Mobility System promptly.
Tire chains
General information
The manufacturer of the vehicle has deter-
mined certain wheels and tires to be suita-
ble for operation on the vehicle.
Follow the tire chain manufacturer's in-
structions.
Do not initialize the Flat Tire Monitor after
mounting tire chains, as doing so may result
in incorrect readings.
Do not reset the Tire Pressure Monitor TPM
after mounting tire chains, as doing so may
result in incorrect readings.
When driving with tire chains, briefly acti-
vate Dynamic Traction Control DTC, if
needed.
Safety information
Warning
With the mounting of tire chains on un-
suitable tires, the tire chains can come
into contact with vehicle parts. There may
be a risk of accident or risk of damage to
property. Only mount tire chains on tires
that are designated by their manufacturer
as suitable for the use of tire chains.
