Universal Remote Control

If using the Universal Remote Control with residential door openers, the remote control must be used only with
door openers manufactured after 1993 that utilize photoelectric sensors. The photoelectric sensors are always
located on or near the bottom of the door track.

#1 Will this work with a chamberlain whisper quiet?

Yes. There is a whole list of compatible openers and anything Chamberlain will work.

#2 Can I program it like a homelink system? My residential area gate does not have a learn function, I was hoping to use my old remote

Unfortunately this does not program like Homelink, and cannot learn codes. However if your existing remote has dip switches, you should be able to line them up the same, and program that way.

#3 Will this work with the Challenger Garage door opener?

Chamberlain says this is not compatible with Challenger doors.

#4 Does this work with the dip switch garage door openers?

Yes for most openers at least. There are 12 DIP switches inside the programming cover of the remote that must match your door opener.

#5 What gate systems is this compatible with?

I think pretty much all systems

#6 Does this work to connect a garage door and a gate as well?

I have no idea. It never worked on my garage door when I received it so I have no idea.
