
1. Attention Before Placing an Order
Network Requirements: Please make sure the camera is installed within Wi-Fi distance and
the Wi-Fi must be 2.4Ghz, OTHERWISE please don’t purchase it. (DO NOT support Xfinity
hotspots)
---All wireless routers can provide 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi. However, some of them are set to provide
5Ghz Wi-Fi or 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz dual band Wi-Fi. This camera requires 2.4Ghz single band Wi-
Fi to work.
If you can find 5Ghz wireless option in your router settings (refer to the 15th question in this
manual), please disable it and enable the 2.4Ghz wireless option. If there is no 5Ghz wireless
option, that means your Wi-Fi is already 2.4Ghz.
* If you don't know how to set up your router for 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi or don't want to use 2.4g Wi-
Fi, to save your time, please don’t purchase this camera.

3. What should I do if I encounter a problem?

4. My Wi-Fi is 2.4g band. Why can’ t I connect the camera to the Wi-Fi?
Either your network configuration does not meet the requirements, or the camera is not yet
ready.
a. For network configuration, in addition to requiring the network to be 2.4g, please make
sure both the Wi-Fi name and password don’t contain special character (e.g. & *)
b. For the camera, please make sure the camera is installed within Wi-Fi distance and powered
on. Besides, the red led on the camera should blink, then you can connect the camera to the
network. If the light does not blink after the camera is turned on for 1 minute, please reset

the camera and wait until the red led blinks.
5. Do I have to keep it plugged in?
Yes. We need to plug it in as there isn’t a built-in battery.
6. Why does it not recognize my TF card?
Please insert your TF card before the camera powered on.
7. It requests an App to use. How could I download it?
The QR code of the specified App is shown on both the package and the user manual. We
recommend you scan it to install the specified App.
Note: You can also search “HDIPC360” in App Store or Google Play to download the App.
8. How to power on the camera?
Connect the camera with the provided 6ft power cord and adapter, plug it into your socket.
The red indicator on the camera will light on, which shows the camera is powered on.
Please wait a few seconds, you will hear 2 short beeps and the red indicator will blink, which
means the camera is ready to be configured to the network
9. How to register for a free account?
a. Scan the QR code on the package or user manual to download the App. If not work, you
can also search “HDIPC360” in App Store or Google Play.
b. Open the App. Choose “Sign up”. Select America as the country.
c. Enter your email address to receive the verification code. If you can’t find it in your mailbox,
please check the trash.
d. Enter the verification code to finish the registration. Now you can follow the steps to
connect the camera to 2.4g Wi-Fi.
Note: For American Users, please receive the verification code with an email address instead
of a phone number.
10. How to connect the camera to the network?
a. Please make sure your Wi-Fi is 2.4g band. Both the Wi-Fi name and password don't contain
special character (e.g. & *)
b. Make sure the camera is within Wi-Fi distance.
c. Insert your TF card before the camera is powered on, if you want to enable the motion
detection and playback functions.
d. Power the camera on, the red indicator on the camera will light on. Wait until it blinks.
e. If it still doesn't blink after 1 minute, please reset the camera. Put the pin into the reset hole
and hold it for seconds, you will hear 2 short beeps and the red indicator will blink.
f. Download the specified App from App Store or Google Play.
g. Open the App. Sign up an account for free with an email address.
h. Tap"+" to add the camera. Choose the 2.4g band Wi-Fi and enter the password, then get
the phone close to the camera. The App will convert Wi-Fi configuration to audio signal and
search the nearby camera.

i. Wait a few seconds, you will hear "Camera ready". It will remind you to name the camera.
* After these you can mount the camera on the ceiling and then power it on. It will re-connect
to the network automatically after power on (please make sure the camera is within Wi-Fi
distance). Now you can watch the monitoring images on your phone.
* If the Wi-Fi network changed, please reset the camera and re-configure it to the new
network.
11. Why is the image not smooth? Why can’t I see the image?
The camera connects to the Internet to wait for your access and you access the camera via
Wi-Fi or mobile network, thus please make sure the camera is installed within Wi-Fi distance
and you can surf the Internet stably.
12. Is it safe to use?
The monitoring images is transferred in P2P mode, and it won’t be stored on any server.
The App for this camera needs some permissions to implement specific features.
a. Location permission. In order to allocate a closer server for you. The server will only relay
the necessary information, such as displaying the camera's online or offline status in the App
and establishing connection for the camera and your phone. The monitoring image will not
be saved on the server.
b. Record permission. You can talk to the people in the monitoring area.
c. File permission. You can watch the monitoring images and videos on your phone.
d. Contacts permission. You can share this camera with 3 other trusted people. (they also
need to download the app and create an account)
13. How to reset the camera?
a. Power on the camera.
b. Remove the camera in the App if it shows there.
c. Plug the pin into the reset hole.
d. Press the pin and hold it, until you hear 2 short beeps. The red indicator will blink slowly.
You can feel the reset button when you gently press/release the pin.
14. Does my phone have to connect Wi-Fi to view the monitoring?
You can access the camera via stable Wi-Fi or mobile network. The camera needs to be within
2.4g Wi-Fi distance to connect to the Internet.
15. How could I set up my router for 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi?
Different routers have different setting pages. You can enter your router’s settings page and
find the Wireless settings or the Wi-Fi settings. Disable the 5Ghz broadcast option and enable
2.4Ghz broadcast only. If there is no 5Ghz broadcast option, that means your Wi-Fi is already
2.4Ghz.
The wireless settings of Netgear and Linksys router may look similar to the images below. For
routers in other brands, if you don’t know how to enter your router settings, you can contact
the official customer service of your router.
