Alarm timer is not available in MP3 LINK
mode.
• If DISC/USB source is selected and the
track cannot be played, tuner is activated
automatically.
• If iPod/iPhone/iPad playlist is selected as
alarm source, you need create a playlist called
“PHILIPS” in your iPod/iPhone/iPad.
• If no playlist called “PHILIPS” created in the
iPod/iPhone/iPad or no track is stored in the
playlist, the unit switches to iPod/iPhone/iPad
alarm source.
Add your le to play list
1 Select one le.
2 Press PROGRAM to add this le into
playlist.
3 Repeat step 1 and 2 to add other les.
4 Press DISC MENU to view the detailed
information about playlist.
Use the sleep timer
The system can also turn off automatically after
a preset period (120, 90, 60, 45, 30, 15 minutes).
1 During play, press SLEEP/TIMER
repeatedly to select a period.

9 Other features
Play audio from an external
device
You can use this unit to play audio from an
external device.
1 Connect the MP3 link cable to
• the MP3 LINK jack of this unit
• the audio output jack (usually
headphone jack) of the external
device.
2 Press MP3-LINK.
3 Play the external device (see the user
manual of this device for details).
Listen through headphone
Plug a headphone into the socket.
Timer and sleep
You can set a time for automatic back to one
source.

Make sure that you have set the clock before
this setup.
1 In standby mode, press and hold SLEEP/
TIMER.
