1. Intended use
The Basecamp is used to charge and upload content to 25 Podcatcher Pro audio guides. It connects
to a USB-C charger for power, and to the internet using Ethernet or WiFi. It also contains a Bluetooth
Low Energy radio. It serves to:
Charge multiple Podcatcher Pro devices, update -rmware as well as upload content and
download logs from them via USB connection.
Download content and -rmware updates as well as upload logs to the Guide-ID platform via
network connection (LAN or Wi-Fi).
It is intended be used as indicated below.

2. Safety Information
Please read all safety instructions carefully before using this product. Retain these instructions for
future reference.
2.1 General Safety
Use this product only for its intended purpose as described in this manual.
Do not use this product if it appears damaged or malfunctions.
Keep the product away from liquids and moisture unless otherwise speci-ed.
Do not attempt to repair or modify this product yourself. Contact Guide-ID for service.
2.2 Battery Safety
This product contains a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Observe the following precautions:
Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or access the battery compartment. The battery is
permanently sealed inside the product and is not intended to be replaced by the user.
Do not expose to extreme temperatures. Avoid exposing the product to temperatures above
45°C (113°F) or below 0°C (32°F). Do not leave the product in direct sunlight, in a vehicle on
hot days, or near heat sources.
Do not expose to -re or heat. Never dispose of the product in -re or incinerate. The battery
may explode or release hazardous materials.
Do not crush, puncture, or apply excessive pressure. Physical damage to the battery can
cause overheating, -re, or leakage.
Stop using immediately if you notice swelling, leakage, unusual odor, or excessive heat.
Discontinue use and contact Guide-ID for instructions on safe disposal.
2.3 Charger Safety
Use only the provided charger. Using incompatible chargers may damage the device and
void the warranty.
Make sure that the mains plug of the power supply is easily accessible.
Make sure that the power supply is connected to an earthed socket outlet.
2.4 Cooling Safety
Allow air circulation to the fan on the bottom of the Basecamp
Do not cover the ventilation opening on the top of the Basecamp

2.5 Disposal and Recycling
This product contains a lithium-ion battery and electronic components that require special disposal:
Do not dispose of this product in household waste. The product must be disposed of
separately from general waste in accordance with local regulations.
Return the product to Guide-ID for proper disposal.
