FS Cell™ is an 8-key beltpack that works with private LTE systems and connects to an Eclipse
®
-HX
matrix with E-IPA-HX interface card. It is part of the FreeSpeak
®
family of products.
Charging the Beltpack
To remove the battery, open the battery release latch and
push in the direction indicated on the device.
The beltpack uses a rechargeable Li-Ion battery.
A dedicated drop-in battery charger (AC80) can charge up to
four Li-Ion batteries simultaneously.
You can also charge the batteries using a USB C cable to USB
chargers (5 Volts, 1-3 Amps).
Inserting and Removing a Nano SIM Card
The SIM card slot is located under the battery
To access the SIM slot:
1. Remove the battery. The SIM slot is located under the cover.
2. Pull up the SIM Cover.
3. Push the SIM card into the slot until it locks into position.
To remove the SIM card, pull up the cover and push the edge of the SIM card until it gets ejected.

Using the Menu System
• Configure volume and display settings for the beltpack
• Read information, such as software version
• Connect to the system
• Connect to a Bluetooth headset
Registering the Beltpack
Before you use a beltpack, you must register it with the host system using a USB cable.
The beltpack can be powered on either before or after connection.
1. Connect the beltpack to the PC that is hosting the EHX Configuration Software using a USB
cable.
2. Navigate to EHX > Hardware > Beltpacks, and then select Register via USB at the bottom
of the screen.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Connecting the Beltpack
Once the host system is open for registration you can connect the beltpack:
1. On the beltpack, go to Menu > System > System Connect. Available systems are displayed
in the beltpack screen.
2. Select the required system (rotary controllers, then D key)
The beltpack registers to the system and connects. If the beltpack role is not fixed, select a role before
connecting
If your beltpack is already registered to a system you will be asked to confirm a disconnect before
connecting to the required system.
