1.2 General information
¡ Read this manual carefully.
¡ Keep the manual and the product information in a safe
place for future reference or for the next owner.
¡ Do not connect the appliance if it has been damaged in
transit.
1.3 Intended use
Only a licensed professional may connect appliances
without plugs. The manufacturer is not responsible for
damage caused by incorrect connections. An incorrect
connection is not covered by the Statement of Limited
Product Warranty.
Only use this appliance:
¡ For washing machine-washable fabrics and hand-
washable wool in accordance with the care label.
¡ With tap water and commercially available, washing-
machine-suitable detergents and care products.
¡ for normal household use and in enclosed spaces in a
residential environment.
¡ up to an altitude of max. 13,100ft (4000m) above sea
level.
1.4 Restrictive Use
This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
Do not let children play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by
children unless they are being supervised.
Keep children under the age of 3 and pets away from the
appliance.
1.5 Safe installation
WARNING
Incorrect installation is dangerous.
▶ Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance
with the specifications on the rating plate.
▶ Connect the appliance to a power supply with
alternating current only via a correctly installed socket
outlet with grounding.
▶ The protective conductor system of the domestic
electrical installation must be properly installed. The
installation must have a sufficiently large cable cross-
section.
▶ When using a residual current circuit breaker, only use
a type with the mark.
▶ Never equip the appliance with an external switching
device, e.g. a timer or remote control.
