Insert the tool from the companion pack
horizontally into the gap between the door
and the lid or countertop.
Press the tool against the release mecha-
nism until you hear the door open. Con-
tinue to press the tool against the release
mechanism and fully open the door.
If the machine is switched on, the following
message is shown on the display when the
emergency release is triggered:
Emergency release: To continue, open
the door.
The message is acknowledged when the
door is closed.
Pull-open lock
In the case of dishwashers with a pull-open
lock, the door can be opened at any time,
even during a program sequence. In the lat-
ter case, special caution is needed.
Opening the door
Danger of scalding, burning, and
chemical burns!
If the door is opened during a program
sequence, hot water and process chemi-
cals can escape. The program in progress
is also interrupted and, under certain cir-
cumstances, even canceled.
Do not open the door if a program is run-
ning.
The dishwasher control panel also serves as
a door handle.
Grasp the handle underneath the control
panel and lower the door to open it.
Close the door.
Make sure that no objects or wash items
protrude into the closing area of the door.
Risk of injury caused by crushing.
Do not put your hand inside the door as it
is closing. Risk of crushing.
Raise the door upward until the catch en-
gages.
