Understanding device codes
Each device has a unique QR code and
5-digit number used to identify devices in
the app. Sometimes you may need to scan
a code when adding a new device to your
Alarm Pro. You’ll find these codes on the side,
back, or inside devices, as shown below.

Range Extender
Ring Alarm Range Extenders expand
your Z-Wave network to help all of your
Z-Wave devices communicate, even the
ones that are farther away from your Alarm
Pro. The Range Extender works best when
placed between your base station and
your most distant Ring Alarm devices.
Install steps:
• Follow the steps in the Ring app.
• Plug it into an outlet.
• Using the app, give it a unique
name and assign it to a room.
