NOTICE
This appliance has a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
This appliance comes with a thermal resettable fuse feature to prevent damage to the
motor in the case of extreme overload. Should the unit shut off unexpectedly, unplug
it and let it cool for at least 15 minutes before continuing (see “Operating and Safety
Tips” on page 4).

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove and discard all packaging materials, including the clear plastic on the
blade assembly. Exercise care when unpacking blade assembly, as the blades
are sharp.
2. Wash blending cup, lid, and blade assembly (see p. 5).
Note: Handle the blade assembly by gripping around the perimeter of the base.
