HomeConnect has been set up and
whether the appliance is connected to
your home network.
Overview of the Home Connect settings
Here is an overview of the HomeConnect settings and network settings.
Basic setting Select Description
Wi-Fi connection On
Off
Switch off the wireless module during
long absences or to save energy.
Note:In networked standby mode your
appliance requires max. 2W.
Remote start On
Off
Switch remote start on the appliance on
and off.
Note:With the HomeConnect app only
switch-off is possible.
Add mobile device - Connect the appliance to the "Home
Connect" app or additional accounts.
Network informa-
tion
- Display network information and
appliance information.
Delete network
settings
- Note:You cannot operate your
appliance via the "Home Connect" app
without a network connection.
Software update - Note:This setting is only available with
a software update.
12.4 Remote diagnostics
The Customer Service can access
your appliance via Remote Diagnostics
if you ask them to do so, if your
appliance is connected to the
HomeConnect server and if Remote
Diagnostics is available in the country
where you are using the appliance.

about the availability of Remote
Diagnostics in your country can be
found in the Service/Support section of
your local website: www.home-
connect.com.
12.5 Data Protection

The first time your appliance is
registered on a home network
connected to the Internet, your
appliance will transmit the following
types of data to the HomeConnect
server (initial registration):
¡ Unique appliance identification
(consisting of appliance codes as
well as the MAC address of the
installed Wi-Fi communication
module).
