Grilling Times: Watch food carefully while grilling and adjust
cooking time as necessary.
Add spices, rubs or marinades for flavor and variety to foods
before grilling. Drain food and discard marinades before
grilling.
Nonstick Grilling Tip: Without use of oil, certain foods might
stick to nonstick surfaces. Before inserting Grill Plate, brush
or wipe Grill Plate lightly with oil if grilling vegetables, fish, or
lean meat. If grilling marinated foods or meat with any amount
of fat, oil is not needed.
Using a lower cooking temperature when grilling may help
with food splattering; increase grilling time if temperature is
reduced.
Always read all safety information.
Always use wooden or plastic heat-resistant utensils (450°F
[232°C]) when grilling. Grill Plate is coated with a nonstick
surface and metal utensils will damage cooking surface.
For best results, preheat Grill Plate 5 to 10 minutes before
grilling.
If using wooden skewers, soak skewers in water at least
10 minutes before threading on food to reduce scorching
skewers during grilling.
Let meat rest 3 to 5 minutes before slicing.
Visit foodsafety.gov for information on safe internal cooking
temperatures.
