4. Remove the arrester from the end of the muffler.
5. Use non-synthetic brush to clean the arrester screen. A synthetic brush may
melt if the components are warm. If necessary, blow debris from the screen
with compressed air.
6. Inspect the screen for wear and damage. Replace a worn or damaged
screen.
7. Reinstall the arrester.
8. Torque the retainer bolt to specification.
TORQUE
Retainer Bolt:
10 ft-lbs (14 N·m)
9. Reinstall the arrester cap and bolts. Torque to specification.
TORQUE
Cap Bolts:
10 ft-lbs (14 N·m)
