Lift the Water Reservoir to the right and up o
the coee maker. Remove the Reservoir Lid.
Add water up to, but not exceeding, the Full
line. Return the water reservoir to the coee
maker.
Twist the Brew-Through Lid clockwise onto the
Carafe to lock into place and center the carafe
below the brew basket.
With everything securely in place and the unit
powered on, select the Full Carafe size and
press CLASSIC.
When the cycle is complete, discard the water
in the carafe.
You are now ready to use your Ninja Hot &
Iced Coee Maker.
Insert the Filter Holder into the Swinging Brew

slight click.
NOTE: DO NOT place any ground coee in
the brew basket during the priming brew.
NOTE: We recommend fresh, cool, filtered
water. Well water is not recommended.

MEASURING YOUR COFFEE GROUNDS
For best results, use the measurements on
the Ninja Smart Scoop™ or in the chart to the
right to determine how much ground coee to
use for each brew size. The amount of ground
coee for each size will remain the same for
any brew type you select. For example, if you
select Cup and CLASSIC, you will use the same
amount of coee grounds as if you select Cup
and OVER ICE.

3–5 small scoops 3–5 Tbsp.
1/4 Carafe
3–5 big scoops 6–10 Tbsp.
Half Carafe
Full Carafe 4–7 big scoops 8–14 Tbsp.
NOTE: The coee grounds will absorb some of the water that is brewed, resulting in slightly less
brewed coee than water used.
NOTE: Brew volumes may be slightly larger or smaller than what is stated due to various factors
in the system.
NOTE: Measurements are based on level scoops—adjust to your preferred taste. More scoops
result in stronger coee but slightly lower volume, fewer scoops result in weaker coee and
slightly higher volume. Use a medium-sized grind if grinding whole beans. Grinding beans too
finely may cause the brew basket to overow.
NOTE: Decaeinated coee absorbs water dierently than regular coee grounds; use fewer
scoops to prevent overow.
NOTE: There may be some water left in the reservoir after your brew. This is normal to keep the
brewer from running out of water.
