Follow the operating instructions in the Use & Care
Manual to turn on the Combination Gas Control
Pilot not lit Follow the lighting instructions as detailed on this water
heater and it's Use & Care manual to light the pilot
Insufcient power supply (mil-
livoltage)
Check thermopile connector to the Combination Gas
Control to ensure it is properly connected
Check thermopile wires for damage and replace if
needed
Inspect pilot assembly
Constantly lit
Pilot recently extinguished and
Thermopile is cooling down
Temperature knob recently turned
to OFF position
Follow the lighting instructions as detailed on the water
heater and it's Use & Care manual to light the pilot
One (1) blink every three
(3) seconds
Normal Operation
Temperature knob in pilot position
and pilot is lit
Set temperature knob on Combination Gas Control to
desire setting
Two (2) blinks every three
(3) seconds
Low thermopile voltage however
pilot is lit
Check thermopile connector to the Combination Gas
Control to enssure it is properly connected
Check thermopile wires for damage and replace it
needed
Inspect pilot assembly
Four (4) blinks every
three (3) seconds
High water temperature limit
tripped
Contact a qualied service technician.

Five (5) blinks every three
(3) seconds
Water temperature sensor failure Contact a qualied service technician.

If Pilot is lit, Status Light will briefly stay lit and turn from blue to red when knob is turned to OFF.
If the Status Light is not blinking blue,
relight the pilot. To light Pilot, see Lighting
Instructions on water heater. If Status
Light blinks red more than one flash every
three seconds, see Use & Care Manual.
