Be sure the controls are turned to OFF and the surface units are cool before attempting to remove them.

Drip Pans
Removethe surfaceunits.Thenlift out the drip
pans.
Forbestresults,cleanthe drippansbUhand.
Placethem in a coveredcontainer(ora plastic
bag)with Y4cupammoniato loosenthe soil.
Rinsewith cleanwaterand polishwith a clean
soft cloth.
Thedrip pansmau alsobecleanedin a
dishwasher.
Cleanthearea underthe drippansoften.
Built-upsoil,especiallugrease,mau catchfire.
Donotcoverthedrippanswith foil.Usingfoil
so closeto thereceptaclecouldcauseshock,
fireor damageto therange.
NOTE:If goutcooktopisequippedwithshing,
silver-coloreddrippans,do not cleanthem
in theself-cleaningoven.Permanentdamage
to thefinishcon occur.
Ifgout cooktopis equippedwithblackor grog
porcelain-coateddrippans,the£canbecleaned
in theovenduringtheself-cleaningcgcle.Before
goubeginaself-cleaningcgcte,removeang
heaW soilfromthe drippansandplacethem
on theporcelain-coatedovenrocks.Donotplace
the drippansdirectlgon theovenbottom.After
theself-cleaningcgcleis completedand thedrip
pansarecool,wipethemwitha dampclothto
removeangremainingashor residue.
Besure all surfaceunits are turned off
before raising the cool<top.

Lift-Up Cooktop
Theentirecooktopmagbeliftedupand
supportedin the uppositionforeasiercleaning.
Thesurfaceunitsdo not needto be removed;
however,you mayremoveoneto makeraising
the cooktopeasier.Therearetwo sidesupports
that lockintopositionwhenthe cooktopis
liftedup.
Aftercleaningunderthe cooktopwithhot,
mildsoapy wateranda cleancloth,lowerthe
cooktop.Becarefulnotto pinchyourfingers.
Tolowerthe cooktop,pushthe rodsbackand
gentlUlowerthe cooktopuntilit restsin place.
