This topic provides steps on how to enable SIM PIN security on your 4G LTE modem or
mobile router.
Note: You must enter your devices default PIN in order to enable SIM PIN security. If
you do not know your SIM PIN or if your SIM card did not come with a PIN, contact your
mobile service provider for assistance or try any of the following:

The last four digits of the phone number that is associated with the SIM card.
To enable the SIM PIN security feature on your 4G LTE device:
1.
Launch a browser from a computer or wireless device that is connected to your
devices network.
2.
Visit http://192.168.5.1/.
3. Enter the password.
The default password is password.
The Overview page displays.
4. Select Settings.
The GENERAL tab displays.
5. Select the MOBILE tab.
6. Select SIM Security>Activate
7.
Enter your devices default PIN and click Submit.
The SIM Security status changes to Active.
8. Optional) Click Update SIM PIN to set a new PIN.
You successfully enabled SIM PIN security on your 4G LTE modem or mobile router.
Specify IPv6 Internet connections
You can set up an IPv6 Internet connection if the router does not detect it automatically.
Note: When the device is in LTE mode, this option is greyed out.
