General precautions when food preparation is complete
•Inspect seal ring (4) after use to ensure it is intact and does not show any
deformation.
•Empty spillover protection (8) on back of cooker housing (16). Replace after cleaning.
•Inspect valve protector (5), exhaust valve handle (1a), oat valve (2) and inner
exhaust valve (7), clean if required (
Cleaning exhaust valve).
NOTE:
- When using P09 and keep warm, delay timer cannot be adjusted ( Cooking
programs P01 to P09).
Quick release method
Once the cooking time has elapsed, the temperature and pressure inside the
appliance will slowly reduce. However, in case of delicate food, it is possible to
release the pressure more quickly in order to avoid overcooking.
•Rotate the exhaust valve handle (1a) clockwise to venting position
to release
the steam (ill.
k
). Steam will be released via the exhaust valve (1b) on top of the
lid (22). Always ensure the oat valve (2) dropped down before attempting to
open the lid (22).
Danger of burns!
- Always use oven mitts as the exhaust valve (1b) and appliance housing (16)
are hot and escaping steam can burn.
- Keep your face and hands clear of the exhaust valve (1b) before releasing pressure
contained inside the appliance. Do not stand in the steam venting trajectory.
- Do not use the quick release method when cooking only liquids or liquids with
a small amount of solid food. Liquids may be ejected with the steam through
the exhaust valve (1b).
