Cleaning Procedures
Burner Grates
Allow to cool beforetouchingor removing.
Wash grateswith warm,soapywaterand a nonabrasive,plastic
scrubbingpad.Forstubbornsoils,cleanwith a soap-filled,nonabra-
sivepador CooktopCleaningCreme(Part#20000001)**anda
sponge.If soil remains,reapplyCooktopCleaningCreme,coverwith a
damppapertowelandsoakfor 30 minutes.Scrubagain,rinseand
dry.
Do not cleanin dishwasheror self-cleaningoven.
BurnerCapsand SealedGasBurners
RemovableBurnerCaps
Allow burnerto cool.Removeburnercap and wash in soapywater
with a plasticscouringpad.Forstubbornsoils,cleanwith asoap-
filled,nonabrasivepador CooktopCleaningCreme(Part
#20000001)**and a sponge.
Do not cleanin dishwasheror self-cleaningoven.
Sealed GasBurner
Cleanfrequently.Allow burnerto cool.Cleanwith soapand plastic
scouringpad.Forstubbornsoils,cleanwith a soap-filled,nonabrasive
pad.
Be carefulnot to getwaterinto the centerof the burner.
Usecarewhen cleaningthe ignitor.If the ignitoriswet or damaged
the surfaceburnerwill not light.
To ensureevencookingperformance,keepburnerportsfree of food
soils/debris.
ControlKnobs
Removeknobsin the OFFpositionby pulling up.
Washwith warm,soapywater,rinseanddry.Do not useabrasive
cleaningagentsor abrasivepadsasthey mayscratchthe finish.
Do not soak.
Knobsmaybe cleanedinthe dishwasher.Removeanywatermarks
with hot soapywater to preventpermanentstains.
After replacingthe knobs,turn on each burnerto be surethe knobs
havebeencorrectlyreplaced.
Cooktop- PorcoiainEnamel
Porcelainenamelis glassfusedon metaland maycrack orchip with
misuse.It is acid resistant,not acidproof.All spillovers,especiallyacidic
orsugaryspillovers,shouldbewiped up immediatelywith a dry cloth.
When cool,washwith soapywater,rinseand dry.
Never wipe off a warm or hot surfacewith a damp cloth.Thismay
causecrackingor chipping.
Never useovencleaners,abrasiveor causticcleaningagentson
exteriorfinish of cooktop.

SmartCleanse¢,or SoftScrub*- usingadamp spongeor softcloth.
Rinseanddry.Stubbornsoilsmaybe removedwith a dampScotch-
Brite*pad; rubevenlywith the grain.Rinseand dry.To restoreluster
andremovestreaks,followwith StainlessSteelMagicSpray.
Discoloration -- Usinga dampspongeor soft cloth,wipe with
CameoStainlessSteelCleane¢.Rinseimmediatelyand dry.To remove
streaksand restoreluster,followwith StainlessSteelMagicSpray.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Surface burner fails to light.
Checkto besure powerplugis securelyinsertedinto wall outlet.
Checkor re-set circuit breaker.Checkor replacefuse.
Checkpowersupply.
Checkto besure burneris correctlyratedfor your kind
of gas.
Checkto besure burnerports or ignitionportsare
not clogged.
Checkto besure ignitoris dry and clicking.Burnerwill not light if
ignitor is damaged,soiledorwet. If ignitordoesn'tclick,turn control
knob OFF.
Checkto besure burnercap is correctlyseatedon the burnerbase.
Surface burner flame lilts off ports.
Checkto besurea pan issitting on the grate above.
Contactan authorizedservicer.
The flame is uneven.
Burnerports may be clogged.
Flamemay needto be adjusted.Contactan authorizedservicer.
Surface burner flame is yellow in color.
