Remove plastic belt cover from front of the engine
by removing the two self-tapping screws.
See Figure 25.
Drain the gasoline from the snow thrower, or place
a piece of plastic film under the gas cap.
Tip the snow thrower up and forward so that it rests
on its auger housing.

Remove sixself-tapping screws from the frame
cover underneath the snow thrower.
Roll auger belt offthe engine pulley. See Figure 26.
Unhook the idler spring from the hex bolt on the
auger housing. See Figure 27.
Unhook the support bracket spring from the frame.
NOTE: It may be necessary to loosen the six nuts that
connect the frame to the auger housing to aid in belt
removal

Lift the auger belt from the auger pulley and slip belt
between the support bracket and the auger pulley.
See Figure 27.
Reassemble auger drive belt by following
instructions in reverse order.

Follow first four steps of previous instructions.
Pull idler pulley up, and lift belt off engine pulley and
friction wheel disc. See Figure 26.
Using a wrench, loosen the nut on the stop bolt until
the support bracket rests on the auger pulley.

Slip belt between friction wheel and friction wheel
disc. Remove and replace belt. Reassemble in
reverse order.
