Upper Threading
✽ Before threading the machine, prepare it as described below.
1 Raise the presser foot lever.

Turn the handwheel toward you until the thread take-up lever is positioned
as shown in the diagram. The needle is raised to it's highest position.

Pass the thread through the triangular hole of the thread guide bar. (page 12)

Upper Threading
✽ Thread tension may not be
adjusted adequately if the thread
does not pass correctly through
the take-up spring (4).
1 Starting with the hole on the right end,
pass the thread through the holes in the
three-holed thread guide from above.
2 Pass the thread through
the thread guide (right).

Pass the thread clockwise
around the thread tension dial.

Pass the thread through
the thread take-up spring.

the thread guide (lower).

from right to left.
