CARING FOR THE FILTERS
The grease filter should be removed and cleaned often, atleast once a month.
NOTE: Ifyour microwave hood combination isinstalled to recirculateair, the chacoal filter
(PartNo. 5230W1A003A) availablefrom Sears bycalling 1-8004-MY-HOME ®,
The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be replacedevery 6 to 12 months.
Grease filter (Part No. 5230W2A004A):
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
Charcoal filter (Part No. 5230WIA003A):
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. Remove the vent gdlle mounting screws,
2.To removegrease filter,slide eachfilter tothe side.
Pull filter downward and push tothe other side. The
filter willdrop out.
3. Push the rightside lower partof the charcoal filter.
Remove the filter.
3. Soak greasefilter in hotwater and a mild
detergent. Scruband swishto remove embedded
dirtand grease. Rinse well and shake to dry. Do
not cleanfilter with ammonia, corrosive cleaning
agents such aslye-based ovencleaners, or place
them ina dishwasher. The filterwill tum black or
could be damaged.

4. Lift the back of the charcoal filter.Slide the filter
straightout.
4.To replacegrease filter, slidefilter in the frame slot
on back sideof the opening. Push filter upwardand
pushto front sideto lock into place.
5. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
